Car Cover?

I park in a typical paraking garage and the amount of dust my car picks up from people driving in and out is amazing.

I will wash my car at night and by the next morning its already covered in a decent amount of dust. Being that my car is black this really sucks.

Even though I hate car covers I'm thinking of picking one up to leave on the car overnight after its been freshly detailed. If I'm careful putting it on and taking it off will it still make swirls or sworse yet scratches?

If it's your daily driver, it's not wise to cover daily. Reason being, you can drag the dirt particles and road debris, and scratch the finish...you won't be swirling the finish since you're not rubbing the cover around in circles with your hand.

As for using dusters, don't get the california duster with the cotton fibers...those simply create more scratches as they rub the dirt back and forth. The oil, usually silicone, that the fibers are treated with attract more dirt and create even more scratches.

You can try our GP Wool Duster and that will minimize the dirt. What makes this duster different is you're using static electricity created by twirling the duster in your hand. Then you gently twirl the duster on the finish making sure to let the tips of the fibers gently pick up dirt. It's a better alternative.
