wax in chips,

I have some small stone chips on my black car that are like "hi here we are" after I wax the car. I used some Turtle wax color magic just on the spots and it covers them very well, but if I follow that product with carnuba, the spots become visible again because the wax fills the chip. Would rubbing alcohol on a q tip remove the wax from the chip? How do you guys address that condition? Thanks.

Rubbing alcohol will remove the old wax. You need to use a better quality wax that won't cake up. Try something like einszett Glanz or Swissvax Onyx

Hmmm...zymol carbon should not be leaving behind any white residue.

What polish are you using? Do you hd-cleanse prior to applying carbon?

Michael:

I have the same issue - I got frustrated one day and just used a Black Sharpie, yes Sharpie and unless you are looking for it the average person will not even find it.

I know where they are but I'm not telling.

I have a black AM and use the sharpie trick too! It's not really permanent so if you screw up you can do over and it's not raised like touch-up paint would be.

Black sharpie works great.

I found using the sythentic sealer is better on cars with chips than a carnuba based product.
