You are simply not creating the proper heat to remove the scratches and swirls properly. You have 2 options.

1 - hire a professional detailer with a great reputation ( I can help you find someone in your area with that if you like)

2 - invest in a PC ( Porter Cable 7242XP) kit and spend time on your car yourself. You will need roughly $250-$300 to get started and get some supplies. You will need the machine, polishes, pads, towels, and sealant or wax to do the basic polishing job. If you need help putting together a custom kit I can help you with that as well.

Let me know what else ya need..

The meguiar's system is a good one for the average guy that want to make the paint look better, but it's not giving you legitimate results. If you have the time and the desire, it's time to graduate you to the next level

Invest in some professional polishes from Menzerna. Without seeing your car, I won't know what to recommend. But seeing as your car is black, and you mentioned lots of swirls and scratches, it would be prudent to invest in one of these kits below:

If your budget allows, get the Concours Polish kit which includes the FLEX polisher. This polisher is quite remarkably the safest and most effective polisher for the DIYer on the market. The results can almost match a high-speed rotary and it's very safe.

Polishing takes a little time, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that daunting. However way you go, I'd say following the steps below will yield you results you'll be very happy with:

Menzerna Super Intensive Polish/GP Orange CCS Pad - This will remove and eliminate most of the medium to fine swirls and scratches. The results on a black paint will blow your mind.

Menzerna Super Finish/GP White CCS Pad - This will further polish the paint removing any fine polishing marks made by the prior step using SIP. The paint should have a deep black look that resembles a slab of onyx under water. Neat analogy and even more neat once you see it in real life.

Wax or sealant - Once the polishing is complete, a few layers of you favorite wax or sealant should protect everything you've done.

Hope this helps and please feel free to give us a call if you have further questions.
