Does detail spray dissolve FMJ sealant?

I've always wondered if using Adams or Menzerna detail sprays after a wash was dissolving the FMJ I so carefully apply. Or is this something only the Menzerna chemists can answer?

Detail sprays are predominantly water and very mild cleaners. I don't believe they will strip off wax. You may want to consider a spray wax like einszett is you're concerned with further protection of the wax and paint.

Menzerna makes a spray product - Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield HGS16 - that reportedly is the same polymer that is in FMJ. I've never used it but plan to since I just applied FMJ to my Grand Cherokee.

Quick Detailer (QD) - a typical quick detailer spray is formulated with 80 - 90 % Water, 0.5-1.5% Carnauba wax, 0.1 – 5% Silicone or Mineral oil, so they don’ have the inherent solvent content problems like spray waxes.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I just ordered a bottle of HGS16 to use post-wash as a winter protection extender. With luck I won't end up with a painful bullet hole in my foot.
