Any tips for cleaning unmounted wheels
Any tips for cleaning unmounted wheels
I have some wheels that I am selling, so I recently took them off my car and had the tires removed.
After a few years on the road, there is a lot of dirt on the inside barrels.
Any suggestions for cleaning them? They have painted centers, chrome outer barrel lips, and steel inner barrels.
Can I safely use simple green to break down of the grime?

1. Allow the product to sit for about 10-15 minutes.
2. Come back with a cotton terry towel and begin getting the grimme off the wheels. This may do the trick after one application, or it may require a few applications.
3. Polish the wheels with P21S Polishing Soap to get the original shine and luster back.
4. Do a final polish with P21S Finish restorer on the chrome portion of the rims.

You're all done after that. Don't forget to use your 6speed promo code. Hope this helps buddy. And by the way, where the heck have you been? I hardly ever see you here on the detailing board.
Also to add to that, if you have any tar or asphalt stuck on the inners, or anywhere else for that matter a quick hit with the 3M adhesive remover and it should remove that without any fuss.

You can use it on all the surfaces you mentioned above. It's a great product.
