Tips on Polishing around the Door Handles

We all have those fine scratches and swirls around and underneeth the door handles (from openning and closeing the doors).

Any tips on how to polish those areas and remove the fine scratches?

A flex or porter cable can't do it due to all the cracks/joints/crevices which make up the door handle mechanism - if I used the machine in that area I'll be getting polish into the cracks and it will be very difficult to wipe clean.

Suggestions...

I polish around door handles all the time. Taping, q- tips, and toothpicks help remove any polish residue in the cracks. Otherwise you'll have to do it by hand.

Around the door handles - ok, but how about right on the handle itself and also where the key slot is? What kind of pad do you used under the handle?

If you're careful you can polish the door handle with a machine as well. Otherwise just do it by hand. I use something like this for under the handle, http://www.autogeek.net/wgpockets.html
