Is the Sonax wheel cleaner safe/ok/good for painted wheels? Directions only says that it is safe for all steel and alloy Or is their another product for painted wheels? Oh, wheels are painted with automotive base/clear. Thanks!

I've been using it on both. It's a good cleaner, but like any other it requires some scrubbing to get all the brake dust, etc., off. It is not a spray & rinse cleaner. It works a helluva lot better than some others that I've used, but you still need to get in there with your wheel brushes to get'em clean. Be prepared for the odor.

No kidding. Bought a gallon of the stuff and transferred some to a spray bottle. The smell, while not too offensive is strong and just hangs around. The odor will linger on your wheels for more than a day and wherever you store the stuff, it will overwhelm you when you open the door. But it's worth it!
