997.2 Dashboard and plastic pieces

Hi guys
need a little help, on the 997 interior is the dash and around the doors all vinyl, trying to clean the interior using 1Z einszett ****pit Premium and leather master, but I was hoping to be able to spray that stuff on the dashboard

It really is much better to NOT spray on the dashboard. We generally will spray on a microfiber towel and wipe, and spray around cracks and crevices, agitate with a brush, and use compressed air and a rag to clean out residual from cracks and crevices.

2nd on that one.

however for the leather you could use Sonax Leather Foam if you wanted to.

1z ****pit premium is more of an interior detail spray IMHO. It doesn't do an effective job of CLEANING when compared to an actual cleaner. A cleaner will actually lift dirt, embedded oils from your body, dirt in the grain of the leather, etc. You'll actually see the difference when you use the cleaner. Once you clean, then conditioning with a separate conditioner would be ideal.

We've actually tested the effectiveness of ****pit as a cleaner. We cleaned with CP first, then with a separate cleaner. We were still able to pull more dirt out with the cleaner that ****pit didn't remove. But, that's expected since ****pit is considered a cleaner/conditioner. And it does THAT task very well.

Where ****pit premium comes in is when you do your weekly or routine washes. ****pit does a great job of getting dust off surfaces, getting fingerprints off surfaces, etc. As John stated, simply spray on mf towel, then begin wiping.

Great questions
