you can probably try FP on a small section first, if that doesn't work you will need to go to SIP then finish with FP.

Have fun!

JoshVette is infamous around these parts
First off what machine are you using this with?? orbital, rotary?? and what pads??

Secondly, what are you afraid about?

If an orbital I would suggest using SIP, orange cutting pad, then finish with FP and a white pad. Car will look killer with just a little practice.

With a PC, you need all the help you can get. The machine just doesn't have what it takes to do a proper dual action polishing. It bogs down as soon as some pressure is applied.

I'd use SIP with Orange CCS pad and finish with Super Finish or Final Polish with white pad. You'll thank us Keep in mind, the PC may be limited in ability to properly correct the deeper scratches in a black paint. That's when it's time to graduate to the flex.

With an orbital it would be extremely difficult to damage/burn the paint, with Porsche soft paint worst you could get with the products you're using a maybe some haziness, but if you finish down with the final polish/pad combo you should not get any haze.

Josh

BTW, I sent you an email reply.
