Engine Detail Completed Thanks Moe

Easy when you have right advice.

1. run engine 5 mins.
2. cover air intake
3. rinse with light flat water spray
4. spray with P21S Total Auto Wash All Purpose Degreaser
5. use boars hair brush where required
6. rinse
7. blow dry
8. uncover air intake and run engine 5 mins
9. dress if desired

I dressed with Adam's In & Out Spray

How did you (or did you) also clean the air ducts attached to the hood with degreaser? (I have Adam's APC so will be using it).

Also, what (if any area prep did you do as not to strip wax from exterior body panels when using degreaser so you don't strip wax?

Looks fantastic!

Thanks, I did the air ducts by hand with 1Z einszett Vinyl Rubber Care and Protectant. They were not very dirty so sprayed and wiped with microfiber. But APC should be fine I use it for many things, if unsure you might dilute it a bit to test. I did the engine first before waxing, but if you are careful and use light flat spray and apply degreaser carefully should not get any on the body panels. Parts near edge like the trunk support got done by hand so as to not spray degreaser everywhere. My OCD would never allow that to happen, lol. Take your time and you will be fine.

From one OCD to another I can appropriate the commitment and detail! Just this weekend, since I had wheels off putting new brake pads on, I decided to details the wheel wells. You should have seen the look on my wife's face when she came out to garage and saw me...she didn't say a word but I know she thinks I'm nuts!
