CarPro Iron X in Action!

Early this morning Dwayne and I got together to do a demonstration of CarPro Iron X in action on his Civic. Dwayne washed, clayed, polished, and sealed his car just last weekend and wanted to show why it is so important to use Iron X to remove iron contaminants that you can't see or feel even after claying and polishing.

Check out the reflection in the paint. Feels smooth and looks glossy. The paint definately doesn't appear contaminated.

Look how well it beads after a fresh coat of Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax applied one week ago.

So we washed the car with Dawn, dried and then clayed the surface before using Iron X. Iron X turns reddish purple and it interacts with iron. If no iron is present, it will not change color.

The Iron X takes effect immediately, revealing that even after detailing last week, washing with Dawn and claying today, iron contaminants were present in the paint.

After dwelling on the paint for 2-3 minutes the results are even more dramatic. It's hard to believe the paint was still this contaminated after claying and polishing the vehicle.

We also tested the Iron X on the wheels.

Once the Iron X has decontaminated the car, the next step is washing with a clean sponge. Be sure to wet the sponge or dunk it in a wash bucket prior to using.

Now for a thorough rinse...

Remember how well the paint was beading prior to using Iron X? Now the paint is completely stripped of any ferrous iron particles and is ready for Cquartz!

I know this was a demonstration of why its important to use a product like this. But for those reading who havent used this product, it should be applied BEFORE claying.
