I just got a quote from Atlanta Protective Films. Found them online and from their photos, they look like they do good work. It's 1100 for the full front, mirrors, and headlight/fog kit--taxes included. That sounds fair to me. They also said they would do a partial for 700, which is what I paid for my M3. That makes me feel better about it. Has anyone used them or heard of them? They use Xpel film. Thanks!!

I know this was a couple of months ago but did you have the bra done? I used APF for my full coverage bra and Derek was fantastic. He was referred to me by a reputable source as being one of the best in the business.
I am also I Atlanta, you have any good recommendations on a Porche mechanic?

Hi. I also used Derek and he did a wonderful job and couldn't have been more pleased with his work. Worth every penny I spent and I recommend him to anyone who asks me. Great guy to deal with as well. I haven't had any mechanical issues yet so I don't know of any mechanics. Sorry but I plan on using Jim Ellis for my servicing. Thanks. Are you a member of the Porsche club? I thought about joining to establish a few connections.

Part of the "mark-up" is for use of the dealership space for the PPF work, I've been told this can range from $300 to $500, although this theory goes out of the window if the car is actually being done at the PPF shop rather than at the dealership, however the dealership will still get a cut from being the middleman of this work regardless where the work is being done.

I am also finding it difficult to locate a good vendor with a reasonable price for my newly repainted 996, but I do have a lead now with an independent person who has about 8 years of PPF experience, hopefully this will work out very soon.

I just got a quote from Sunbusters in Austin for $1500!. This is for a lot of wrap though: full hood, full front fenders, headlamps and rings, bumper, full hood, cab A-pillars and roof line, mirrors, lower sills, rear fenders front and rear, door sill edge and handle cup protection. I am going to try this whittle a few things off and get the price down some. Any other recommendations?

Was the rear bumper included?

Provided they are a good installer and you are using one of the top grade films, then I would say you got a reasonable price, over here that kind of coverage will probably run close to $3K.......

BTW, how many hood do you have? You listed it twice, unless one of them is the rear "hood" over the engine.
