Question Any special recomendations when using well water?

We are in the planning stage of building a new house and the property will have well water. I have never had that before and was wondering if anything needs to be done to the water or is it safe for washing the cars. I would like to have it set up ( the garage) when new rather then start changing things. Thanks in advance, any advice is appreciated.

Have the hardness of the water tested. If it's hard (and I'd bet a lot of money that it's VERY hard), you need a whole house water softener. Otherwise, you will have major spotting problems. Once you have the softener, buy a CR Spotless to produce deionized water. The resin will last a lot longer if you feed it softened water and you'll never have to dry your car after washing.

Use a TDS meter to determine hardness. Hard water always spots. Even softened water will spot. Fairway551 is correct - use a water deionizer and save yourself hours of work buffing out water spots.
