WTF is this?

I was getting ready to wash my black 997tt (just kill me and get it over with) and on the right rear bumper near the fender I found this interesting strangeness.

Any idea what is going on here?

Its either the bra or your clear coat is peeling

If its my clear coat, will crying help fix it. My 3 year old would ask me to kiss it, maybe that helps too?

TLC Auto Detail is infamous around these parts
That is clearcoat failure. Only way to fix it to repaint unfortunately.

Clear coat peeling man. Most likely from a bad repair. I don't think the factory clear would do that.

Since it appears to go above the panel onto the trim I am betting it is left over clear bra.
