wheel cleaner

i'm sure this has been brought up numerous times and sorry....but i want to know what's best to clean the polish metal on the lips of the rims...to be specific...i have ssr gts and i've tried mother's billet (may have removed my clear coat) and many other brands and cannot get a real shine...just a clean haze with fine "spider-web" like look...i know it'll never look mirror-like...please let me know and if i have ruined the finish...please let me know how to correct it ...thanks

You should try Mother's incredicble billet aluminum polish and scrub hard. Very hard scrubbing produces better results. Not fun, but it is the best I have seen so far for polished lips.

Try Zymol's Metall. We recently introduced it at the 2005 Pebble Beach Concours. It's an all natural metal polish that will give you great results. Let me know if you need some.

If your wheels are clearcoated then you dont want to use a metal polish. Try using a chemical polish like you would use on your paint.
