You can clean your wheels with a pH balanced wheel cleaner such as Zymol Wheel Cleaner. They also make a spray wax to protect the wheels called Wheel Coat.

I use a product called wheelwax, it is a one step wax for your wheels. It leaves the wheels polished and protected. apply two thin coats to the front and one to the rear, for the first time you can take the wheels off and do the barrels and calipers. Wheelwax changes the surface polarity of wheels to repel brake dust particles. It last for a few months and is very easy to put on, I'm sure you will like it.
