Dusting Car?

What is the safest way to dust off a car that is clean? Car has been sitting and would like to get all of the dust off before covering it but dont want to scratch the paint

Thanks!

Martin

tdekany is infamous around these parts
depending on the color.

To me the safest way would be to use QEW or ONR. It only takes a few minutes to do the car and it doesn't scratch.

On your color car you could also use a Quick Detailer (QD) with a Micro Fibre towel

I'd be very careful using a quick detailer product. Even the slightest bit of dust can translate to microswirls if not wiped off carefully. I would use a wool duster from Zymol. We use this at Pebble Beach when the cars are brought on the field. The tips of the fiber have a static charge when rubbed by your hand and will attract the dirt particles. Anything more than the duster's capability, and you need to wash the car either the traditional way, soap and water, or using Optimum No Rinse. I have not used ONR, but hear great things about it. Hope this helps.

Meguiars Quick Detailer. Spray on, wipe off. Or try a duster, just be sure not to use it like a brush. Suspend it over the car enough so the fingers are touching the surface.
