Rubber Trim Discoloration

I was waxing a 997 C2S with Meguiars Wax (step 3 of their 3 step line) and a small blob landed on the rubber trim above the door edge. I cleaned it 30 seconds later, but it caused a faded area in the rubber in the outline of the blob. As far as I know, this is not a cleaner wax combo.

I tried prep sol and Mother's Back to Black, but the discoloration remains.

Any suggestions?

Clean it first w/ 50/50 alcohol and purified water solution. You may have to do this a few times before the blob goes away. I would then recommend a natural conditioner such as Zymol Seal or Tyre to condition in the future.
