Price Check/Help for F360 F1
car delivered - absolutely perfect save some small amounts of dust as to be expected. not even any bug debris. pictures aren't that good considering the light and the camera. wife has since come home and I've got a lot of making up to do. more pics once cleaned up. the drive from the pickup spot to my home (25miles or so) was heavenly. very different compared to the stage II 996tt and obviously light years ahead of the other older ferraris.

and many thanks to Competizione in Maryland for their PPI - very pleasant, very accomodating (last second) and very thorough. Also props to the porsche repair shop Interport Motors in McLean, VA. They made this whole thing very smooth - only glitch is waiting on the title that was supposed to be overnighted on Wed but have yet to receive it. Hopefully it will come Monday and all will be good.
Thanks for all your support guys...now off to deal with the Mrs......

If you did not get the title immediately after advancing that amount of $ then Interport Motors may have been brokering that car and did not own it.
A word to the wise who purchase in transactions such as this. You should always, always ask if the seller is the title holder or agent, who actually holds the title, and if there is a note on the vehicle.
If there is a note you should ask the note holder's name and contact, and then speak with them to verify the transaction. You should also send the $ to them only to ensure that the debt is fully extinguished. They will send the difference to the seller.
You have absolutely no recourse in this situation especially when the transaction is out of stste.
About a year ago a Ferrari buyer on another site had this problem. It took 9 months for him to get the title after I advised him. It turns out the seller was an agent only for the buyer, the seller was in default with the lender, and the lender did not receive all the proceeds this buyer had sent to the seller's agent.
Try clearing that mess! The seller's agent had to pay the lender the extra $ to the lender that the seller was in default and that happened only after the buyer filed a claim with the District Attorney in the selling agent's area.
Don't take these chances. Get proper advice if you have no experience in these matters.
Frank, keep us posted on your title receipt.

title is in hand. i'm assuming it's legit but so far the company nor any of it's reps has given me the slightest inclination of any fraudelent or mischevious activity. Usually, someone within the organization will "slip up" unless it's a professional gig which I can tell these guys are not professional thieves.
alls well that ends well. this week it's off to Norwoods for a head to toe check and major service then off to Detail Werkz to restore to showroom condition.

These matters can become a nightmare as I had outlined.
Have fun with the car and post pictures.
