Saw a Maserati MC12
 

I saw a Maserati MC12 in Rodeo Drive today. License was from North Carolina. Anyone on 6speed or know of the owner? Was an amazing sight. That made my day :). Didnt know there's one in the US. Sorry didnt take any pics

I saw the car twice today too - once in Malibu and once going along Melrose Ave whilst i was at Urth Cafe.

There are indeed very few around.

One from N. Calif for which we made custom floor mats was sold w/in the past 6 months, and I believe it's the one in LA.

They are very nice looking cars.

Theres about 14 of them in the US I believe. My acquaintances shop does work to them so they can pass emissions etc.

I know the owner, hes from Alberta, Canada. But also has a house in LA. Hes got some other nice cars too

Money could be far better spent than picking up an MC12, its not all that fantastic.

I was at track event last summer in TR and there was an MC12 there. Ultra-exotic car, but rather large. Never got a "fly-by" (blow-by) on track to hear the exhaust note.

I talked to a guy at Lamborghini Las Vegas and he said 7 have been imported.

A friend saw one on the 405 north, probably the same one.

As of last July I know there are 14 that were imported & reside in the US.

Haha...I'm not usually a camera phone fanboy, but I was sitting in traffic on Santa Monica Blvd on Friday night and caught the same MC12 parked on the street. The owner (?) darted across the street in front of me to feed the meter. I've seen a few at shows and races, but when you see it in the wild you get a sense for how oddly oversized it is. Beautiful car, though.

Its huge when you actually see it in real life. The last time I was at my friends shop they had three of them there just chillin getting work done to them. They're massive.

While i think its COOL to see these cars on the street......am i the only one who doesnt really like it???

I mean, yea, perf is great, and its rare, etc....but i would rather have 100 other cars before this thing. Am i alone???
