Hi Guys,
I was wondering if I could pull the hoses off of the exhaust valves and plug them to make it open all the time (Like on my old Gallardo)?? The 430 sounds SICK when the valves open (no need for an exhaust), but down low and idle leaves a bunch to be desired... If I could disconnect the valves and make it sound like that down low too there would be no need to get another exhaust...

Funny you made this thread. I was just playing with the 550... I see some hoses too, wouldn't mind doing the same thing.

 

Yes you can w/o any issues.

Those valves serve two purposes only:

1) Keeps dB noise level down at idle
2) Helps keep unburned HC's in muffler longer so they burn.

No other function.

You can plug the hoses with golf tee's.

Just make sure the hoses are plugged up or else you will get a CEL.

 

That's what I used to think....soon you'll want that higher pitched scream and will be looking for that magical exhaust.
