My U.S. Scuderia Order is IN!!

Placed my Scuderia order with Lake Forest last week. June or July delivery.

I can't stop thinking about it!

Yellow Exterior
Alcantara with Yellow Stitching Seats and Dash
Underdoor Molding and Wheel Arch in Black Alcantara
Fire Extinguisher
Yellow Guages (no cost option)
Racing Livery a/k/a Stripes
Yellow Calipers
Carbon Fiber Exterior, Rear (saves a whopping 22lbs!)
Carbon Fiber Exterior, Underground (saves 9lbs!)

I had a hell of a time choosing colors. The Avio Metallic (blue) launch car at the L.A. Auto Show is stunning. So is Titanium. So is Nero Daytona (which I have on my Coupe).

But I'll stay with yellow!

Very nice. Any color will look great. I wouldn't order yellow for myself, but I can't deny it's sex appeal.

Looks to be well optioned out. So is that charcoal alcantara with yellow accents? If so, HOT.

Congrats! Just wondering - MSRP or MSRP + premium?

Wyatt, I am paying $50K over. This sticks in my craw, but what can you do? Most of the other cars have been at MSRP, but the dealer is charging over on the Scuderia.

Hi PALELLA, I'm thinking of having a "Scuderia Coming Out Party" and let everyone drive it, or a few other cars I own ... but here's the catch. You can drive the car 10 miles but you must donate $100 to the Mercy Home for Boys.

http://www.mercyhome.org/

I have a friend who owns an Enzo. He said he "might" bring his Enzo but he would do the driving unless someone was willing to donate "big bucks" to drive the car.

I'd be happy with donating the $100 and letting you take me for a drive. I'm not keen on the idea of letting people "test drive" exotic cars. Sounds dangerous. Either way, if it happens let me know as I would make an appearance and throw some money at the cause.

Good cause, that's a very altruistic approach to supercar ownership. Kudos.
Enjoy it in the best of health.

Very nice of you to allow others to drive your hard earned machine, and even nicer of you to donate money to an unbelievable cause like the Mercy Home.

Good luck, and if there aren't pictures posted the day of delivery, BAN BAN BAN.

Congrats.....do you know if your dealer has gotten all of their allocations? My dealer keeps saying that they haven't gotten any of their allocations yet which I find hard to believe.

Regards,
Chris

Chris, I will ask the dealer. I don't know. What I do know is this:

Since fall, on a regular basis, I had been asking the dealer about the car. The dealer was more or less in the dark until two weeks ago. The dealer suddenly called and said they needed a $10K deposit right away. They've never asked for a deposit before.

The dealer said I would have the car in June or July. A two page fax from Ferrari was sent to me with equipment and pricing. I finalized my order on Friday (although I still can make changes for the next week or two).

Ferrari is mandating that $50K of the car be financed and the loan cannot be paid back until 12 months after purchase. Clearly, this car has motivated buyers and sellers to resort to unusual behavior.
