F430 replacement

Following your logic, you may say that the 997 is a facelift of the 996... Non-sense to me........
The 430 IS a completely new car compared to the 360

And the 612 is a facelift of the 456M?
430 has a different engine, gearbox, suspension, braking system, interior, exterior, price, and name! The only thing it shares with a 360 is that both have a V8!
As ggh said, its like saying the 997 is a facelift of the 996.

993 to 996 was a new car.
996 to 997 was a facelift/evolution.
997 to 997.2 was a facelift/evolution.
Murcielago to LP-640 was a facelift/evolution.
Gallardo to LP-560 was a facelift/evolution.
348 to F355 was a facelift/evolution.
F355 to 360 was a new car.
360 to F430 was a facelift/evolution.
if the chassis is the same, then its considered a facelift/evolution. the 360 and the F430 share the same F131 chassis. the F430 has an Evoluzione tag to show it has some major changes (changes to the existing 360 platform).

I see the 430 as a facelifted 360, too.
Is the LP560 an entire new gallardo? New engine, suspension, transmission, name, brakes, bumpers, lights, etc...
Just as different from the original G as a 430 is from the 360.
Not that it makes any difference.

that was april..... what did you get if anything?
#22
The replacement model is scheduled as a 2010 but it's not for sure.
#23
You're aware the chassis is the SAME? As is the roof and like 75% of the parts?

Yup, it's funny how some 430 owners don't even know that!

Ferrari always does a facelift before a totally new car.
308/328
348/355
360/430

Ferrari was very smart in marketing the 430 as a "NEW" car!
It was not.
Few changes as in e-differential and body panels but that's it.
Don't be fooled. GM has been doing it for years.

Everybdy does it, and there is nothing wrong with "updating" a car. It just amuses me how many think the 430 is "new" when compared to a 360.

Agreed, there really is nothing wrong with that. I will say that I think the F430 is a much better car, and that's all the owners or potential owners should think about. Who cares what is shares? But in the end it is definitely an updated 360 (which is fine because the 360 was a very special car).
