The market is below what was expected and so are prices.
Have it checked by a knowledgeable Ferrari person and you should be ok.
Make a good deal and enjoy it. They are tremendous fun.
05 with less than 300 miles? that's like.... a brand new car but sittin for 3 years. I guess it's just waiting for you to pick it up. haha
Gcalo:
The price on the f430's are below expected value? what are these cars going for right now? still over MSRP? I know it depends on condition, year, miles, and options...but what's a the true market value of these 430s with about 1000-3000 miles?
Thanks

An 05 can't have any problems and low mileage means the buyer was most likely considering resale when purchase.

These things are depreciating. Some dealers, like Motorcars Intl, are asking the moon and it appears there is a sucker born every minute because they tend to find buyers, sooner or later.
However, you can buy sub $200K cars -- really nice ones -- if you are patient.
+1 .... right on.

G997,
The finacial situation is affecting many and especially those who bought beyond their capability anticipating continued sales premiums, but they are fast finding out this is not the case. They need to dump out. Dealers are like real estate agents. They are trying to preserve high sales and high margins hoping buyers are unaware of reality.
It's like the homes here in Nor Cal. There are homes that were selling for $800K 2 years ago that can be had in the $400K's now! Some in the high $600K's were offered in Jan for $250K!
Take your time. There are many good deals.
Look to private sellers rather than dealers. They MUST sell and don't have the dealer's overhead.

You shouldn't be scared of the car. I friend bought a 2001 550 Barchetta last August with 297 miles on the ODO. Has over 6k on it today and it's performed flawlessly.
Side note: Low mile Ferrari aren't always the problems people make them out to be. Our 550 Maranello had 5k when we got it last December and has been nothing but pleasure since.
Just have it PPI'd, that's obviously the bar.

Creditman, do you know?
Ahhh the red 05 with black interior. I came across this one while searching for my f430(still in the process...) The color combo is really nice and it's equipped with pretty nice options. Ceramic brakes and the sport seats.
Personally I think it's a great low mile car, probably the best one out there. The car is asking 224,500, im sure there should be some room to negotiate...but I wonder how much the original sticker is....
Cars great.... i think it really comes down to price! If you like the car and willing to pay the price they are asking... go for it and enjoy!

They sell stand up, no story cars. Jeff Cornwell over there is a good guy.... but they ask all the money.
There's something to be said for not chasing all over the USA for a nice car. There's real peace of mind knowing you're buying the best. But peace of mind can be expensive!

That's all the money and more for that car. I'd buy this one before that one
Motorcars Intl seems to have the rep that one can buy their cars based upon their description only.
