you are kidding me? this just gets worse.
assuming any "race" was probably then initiated by the ferrari i can only begin to imagine how the veyron owner must feel. imagine chomping into that bait and it not only leading to probable disqualification but also turns out to be against a car that was stolen and therefor not giving two hoots.
it just shows how quickly a bit of a fool around and an enthusiastic tickle on the right pedal can quickly go sour

luck was not shining their way that day thats for sure.

i wonder if his lawyer can try to wangle the stolen ferrari aspect into his favour. perhaps an "i knew it was stolen from the internet forums when i saw no plates and it matching so closely and was trying to get a good look so i could report it to the police and update the owner and see if they would pull over if confronted".
misguided do-gooding angle may keep him legal where simple bombing in a jet fighter car wont

I wouldn't risk a $1.5M car for a ticket. Dude was smart to pull over.

also, he's rich enough to afford a Veyron, he can afford a ticket.
Actually, don't know if there are many helicopter pilots here, but as someone who's spent some of his spare time that isn't spent in sports cars in helicopters, the Veyron is probably fast enough to outrun not only the piston helicopters in the police fleet here but even faster than the cruise flight speeds of any jet turbine helicopters I've seen with police markings...
