599 all the way

 

I would get the 599. I have driven a 612 and it was a very nice car. Handled good, fast, but not scary fast, very comfortable and very easy to drive. The one I drove had a 6-speed manual tranny and it was as easy to drive as a honda civic. The seats in the back of the 612 were very impressive, and my 23 year old brother was fairly comfortable in the back seat. That being said I would get the 599 every time, because the 612 just isn't very exciting.

Like everyone else stated go with the 599. The 612's looks are just a bit off for some reason.

Not even close. 599 better looking, handles better, faster, sounds better, newer, and cheaper. It is not even close. The 612 is the worst ferrari out now. Even being the worst ferrari its still an outrageous car but the 599 is the ticket for sure.

 

looks alone on the 599 will win me over. never liked the 612. plus the 599 is more desireable to me and seems more exclusive.

 

The 612 is a beautiful car but one that loses its value very quickly. I would bet as well it's due for cancellation or dramatic change very soon. It would not be characterized as a "good seller".

The 599, on the other hand, is very advanced and a very different car. It's a beauty and one you would definitely enjoy long-term.

 

The 612 & the 599, heh? From what I've read, they're really sort of different cars. The 612, seems to be marketed as a fast, yet still very refined & classy Ferrari, set more for cruising the boulevard with the option of 3 more folks to accompany you. The 599, however, looks to be directed more towards giving a more aggressive, more performance felt car. It still retains a cruiser feel, but unlike the 612, it has the capability of getting away from that emotion. In other words, the 599 can cruise down the road 1 minute, and then haul like nothing in the next. The 612, imo, was most likely not designed to be that way from Ferrari. Ferrari, I'm sure, had different ideas for these 2.

But, I'd pick the 599, mimicing countless others. The luxury & easiness of the 612 is fine, but the 599 still contains that & a nice, fat Enzo-sourced V12 for those times when cruising down Rodeo Dr. just becomes boring.

 

I just picked up a 599 last week. It is astonishing to drive, very capable and not just a little intimidating. Keeping your right foot planted past the first LED illuminating on the steering wheel is NOT for the feint-of-heart.

The Scuderia is a completely different type of car. The 599 you could drive all day long at 150+mph and arrive fresh and composed. The Scuderia would make you feel like you've just done a long stint at Le Mans. Both are rewarding in their own way, and one is not "better" than the other. If you want a track-day rocket, the Scuderia is the way to go. If you want Ferrari's best all-round do-everything car, the 599 is the answer.

The 612 compared to the Scuderia and the 599 is a snooze-fest, relatively speaking. The only real reason to consider a 612 is if you *must* have an extra 2 seats in the back. The other reason would be purchasing a used one at substantial discount (and subtantial savings) over a new/used Scuderia or 599.
