Ferrari Dino

I was noticing that Ferrari NA's website has a section for past models, and they list as early as 1971, but only for the 365 gt4/BB. What significance has the dino played in development, and did it really have a 6 cylinder engine?

The dino is beautiful.

Excuse my ignorance,

Parker

yes, the 246 dino had a 6 cylinder engine.

technically it wasn't a ferrari when originally built. it was a "dino" which was more or less a different branding than the "ferrari" cars which were all twelve cylinders at the time.

the early "dinos" had no "ferrari" badges on them, although many owners of said cars through the years have added them.

to this date, some purists call the 12 cylinder cars "ferraris" and any car without 12 cylinders "dinos".

Doody - That's very interesting. From reading bits and pieces here and there over the past few months it all makes sense now. By the way... Nice 355 Spider

Thank you.
