360 Prices
360 Prices
What is a good price for a 99 EURO Rossa 360 with around 15-20k miles and regular service records? I have seen US versions going on ebay for 58-65k, are the euros worth more/less?
Euro models are usually cheaper, but be careful using ebay as the barometer for what the values of the cars are. Every car I went to look at that was cheap on ebay was a piece of crap and not represented well. paintwork, lack of books or keys, the need for service, bad options etc all deduct from the price. I'll try not to start a flame war on what it is worth, but a no stories, good history, well optioned car that is a 99 euro is probably worth more than what you saw those ebay cars go for.
Hi~ Yes there is definitely a difference~ I have had both U.S. and Euro versions of the 360~ I had a 2001 (2000 Build date) silver Euro 360 Modena and that thing was FAST and sounded AWESOME! I had my car serviced at Beverly Hills Ferrari, when I had it, and when they were working on it even one of the technicians, who was working on a Testarossa, came up to me and asked what kind of exhaust I had on it! It sounded that AWESOME!!!
The Euro versions are LIGHTER and have less restrictive exhaust systems with a tad bit different ecu set up to accomodate~ Mine was the base model with non power seats and the only option I had was Suderia shields~I ran it against my friends 01 US version and would pull away from him EVERYtime~ Maybe it was just that car but it was FAST and sound marvelous~
I also had two U.S. versions, thereafter, one stock and one with a Tubi exhaust and they were a tad bit slower and felt more restricted~ I still miss my Euro version 360, it was a special car indeed~
If you can find a legit CLEAN unmolested/accident free Euro car, you will be satisfied!
The only reason people bad mouth Euro cars is because of the fact they do not have warranties intact and the direct importers such as Ferrari, Lamborghini north America, etc etc...want to sell the cars here with their warranties intact for an additional cost, so therefore Grey Market Euro cars have had a bad rap ever since~
So the Euro cars are not bad cars, if you can find a good one~ They tend to be faster and lighter than the U.S. variants~
In your case, since the 99's or most of the 360's have already run out of their warranty period, a Euro version might be a great way to save money and have a faster car to begin with because even the U.S. versions for that year have no warranty left on them anyways~ Just make sure you do a PPI and make sure it is a CLEAN car~
These are just my opinions from past experiences so I hope I helped a little and didn't offend anyone~

Seems like the only reason to get a US car over a Euro car is for a factory warranty... once that period is expired, US cars offer less in terms of performance and sound without the warranty. Euro could be the way to go!
