2006 430 used car pricing
2006 430 used car pricing
I have been looking to buy a 2006 430 but I have not seen any real discounts. I have looked at a 5000 mile 2006 430 with a sticker of $207,000 and if you take out the brakes the sticker would be $190,000. The dealer invoice is $20,000 lower on both fronts. The car is being offered in the $140,000s; however, I do not look at that as a good deal. You have the new model change coming out and the discount is only 30% from sticker which is not a lot for a 4 year old car. I realize it is a ferrari but the market is completely different than the go go days and is not coming back anytime soon. I believe no one in the ferrari selling world wants to admit it and unload the cars for what they are worth. Any thoughts?
Many of these 430 sellers on autotrader, ebay, etc are in their own dreamland. Just wait a bit...with the economy the way it is and with the introduction of the 458 the 430s will drop
The market is what it is. If the majority of 06 cars are priced in the $140s then I tend to think that's the right price.
One person thinking the prices are too high does not change or make the market.
If you want to pay less, make offers until a seller accepts your price. If you're right (and somehow, all the sellers on the market are wrong), you'll be driving an F430 in no time. Otherwise, you could be sitting on the sidelines waiting for the market price to adjust down to where you think it should be.
Of course, prices are only going one direction and that's down. You can either jump in and enjoy the car, or sit on the sidelines and watch life (and those driving their dreams) literally pass you by.

And to the OP, there's many things to consider when purchasing a Ferrari. If your looking for the cheapest one your already off in the wrong direction. Locating the 'right' example should be #1. Proper examples or no story cars are typically priced at the upper end of the market however, asking prices are just that and may have no baring on the actual selling price. For more information about what to look for or market value I suggest you check out, ferrarichat.com.
