Obscure old ferrari value question....

Have a friend that has a minty 308 (not sure the year, but can find out) with only 5k original miles. He has kept it inside his house (in a dedicated ferrari room). I was curious as to what the value of a car like this would be from someone who would actually put the money up to buy it.. Any ideas? I believe it is a standard red on tan.

A lot of 308s in reasonably good shape (daily driveable, cosmetically pretty good shape) go for around $30K, but then there is a wide range of specific models, options, etc., some more preferable than others, and this one MIGHT be a great one and worth more, or, despite the odometer, it might have deteriorated and be a money sink - time alone, not just miles, can be really hard on a car.

Have it appraised by a good shop or dealer familiar with classic Ferraris - only way to get a good estimate.

thank you. youre absolutely right - my dad's old collector ferrari sat in the garage collecting dust for years. While my dad thought it was appreciating in value, it was really just sitting there falling apart. Can you enlighten me as to what options were desireable on that car so I can see if the car has any of them? Thanks.
