Not too many people qualified to work on these cars detail-wise, but those that can, do an excellent job.
Moe, is this true for lighter colors (white, silver) as well? or only for the darks (black, etc)?

& whats your opinion of brand new Porsche's? do you find they are delivered in the same bad condition...

thx

This is true for all the cars from Ferrari.

Porsches on the other hand are a different story. The average Porsche, non-GT3, GT2, RS, etc., are in great shape. We haven't had much issues coming from the factory. It's when the dealer starts doing its thing that begins the trouble. But, it's a double-edge sword. Most people going into the dealer want to pay as little as possible and squeeze as much possible from them. Well, guess what; when a lot of people do it, corners are cut. When it comes to detailing, the guys in the back are paid minimum wage, the products are mediocre at best, and the short time span (45 minutes-3 hours) the detailers are given to prep a car, you can see it's a recipe for disaster. There are a few dealerships down here in SoCal, Newport Auto and Aston Martin of Newport Beach, that are good about having us fix these issues. But not too many dealers are willing to pay upwards of $200 for a proper detail. Unfortunately, the countless hours, skill level, and scope of work required to do the job properly, companies like us are always commissioned by the client to pick up the tab. If you've paid upwards of $100,000 for a car, consider the 1-2% price of a reconditioning detail as initial cost of ownership.

The best advice I can give is to not have the dealer touch the car and only do a PDI; pre delivery inspection. Bring the car home and schedule a detail with a reputable detailer that knows your car.

Do you offer a blower on your site that you use to dry the car with? I am really looking for a microfiber towel that does not leave micro scratches so I will be ordering from you soon. Will two towels be adequate for a bigger SUV?

The blower we use on ALL our details is the Airmax Extreme. It's an excellent tool that filters the air, heats the air, and has amazing force.

As for drying towels, yes, we have just the towel for you. It's made of the finest Korean microfiber and has a foam core that makes it very absorbent. You wash it after every use, so it's always clean and the soft fibers minimize any scratching of the paint.

It's also important to note what you use to wash the car with. Since 1998, we've only used natural Australian lamb's wool for a mitt.

Hope this helps. Don't forget to use your 6speed promo code and save 10% off your order.

Ideally, if properly waxed and using a deionization filter, you'd use the blower only. But, to speed things up, you can do a light drying with the drying cloths, then use the blower to get all the water out on nook and crannies.
