3-year service on my 2002 360

~1 month ago I purchased a 2002 Euro-spec 360 (6spd) with 7,800 miles. This car had every service record since import (import with only a few hundred miles). So I had her taken to a Ferrari dealer for the major service because it had been 3 years since that had been performed (though I understand I could have waited longer).

For anyone interested, here is a list of what they did and prices. Numbers in parenthesis indicate quantity and dollar amounts equal total quantity cost.

1) Major service labor: $1,125
2) Timing Control Belt (2): $281
3) Alt & Water Pump Belt: $29.96
4) P/S Belt: $16.50
5) Belt "DAYCO PV-K" A 5: $33.85
6) Oil Filter w/ By Pass Valve: $30.99
7) Washer/Copper: $0.49
8) Ultra 5W40 (10): $87.50
9) Synthetic Gear Oil (4): $81.28
10) Donax UB BRK/Fluid: $38.29
11) A/C Pollen Filter: $107.02
12) W/W Solvent: $3.50
13) Car Transport (2): $100
14) Clutch Disk Measurement: $112.50
15) Misc. Shop Supplies: $24.99

Total with tax: $2,213.99

Comments on prices, services and parts, etc., welcome.

I feel this is a fair amount to pay every 3 years.

Hiro is infamous around these parts
Looks like a standard belt and fluid change. Price listed are all parts, so curious to know what they charge for labor. My knowledge of these services (belt + fluid) would typically be around 4-5k total parts and labor.

Hiro - there was some debate on this in another forum.

Seems to be wide definitions of what a major service is. The tensioner bearings were also replaced which I did not list but wS included in the price.

They inspected the car thoroughly and replaced what they thought was appropriate and based on prior service history.

The labor is listed at the top.

Adding tensioners would have been another grand. Brake flush, etc would have added more but they were done recently.

I am having the coolant flushed Monday which is not listed.

On the one hand you don't want to cheap out on servicing but on the other hand nobody wants to waste money. I think if you have a dealer that knows your car and is truly reputable they will follow the Ferrari service intervals and not overdo it when it's not necessary.
