I just got back from the track, and it was a blast. While the 599xx cars were really entertaining, the best part was seeing the Challenge cars racing.

My take-aways:

I suspect that this guy was at his first race, because he was an extremely early breaker. He started 3 (or 4) incidents at Turn 2, alone.




This guy came in 4th on Saturday, but I found out this morning why. He missed the drivers meeting and was forced to start last (or 20 or so cars?). He was lapping ~1.5 seconds faster than the guy that won, and he put on a true racing clinic. I'm disappointed that I didn't get to see the 2nd race today.
