Oh...I think the abuse isn't finished just yet - just wait until the Cab driver brings this guy to court for assault.

It is.

It was a quip regarding the justice system and current events. I'm on the side of the cab driver.

I used to fly into Minneapolis weekly for months. ALL the taxi drivers seemed to be Somali and about half of them had weird attitudes. I put it down to cultural differences and social misplacement. Later as things happened where a lot of them came under suspicion of being part of a terrorist "something" I rethought the sullen attitude and wondered to myself about it.

Having that experience, I have to admit, I just naturally do a double take on Somali taxi drivers and there are a LOT of them in the US. Kind of like when I was younger it seemed that every Philippine woman you met was in the healthcare profession.

Weird stereotypes.

Anyway, I do believe the cab driver has a good case to take this guy to civil court and he deserves a pretty good paycheck. People seem to be becoming less and less civilized as time goes on.

Yep it looks pretty bad.

But I don't know... it also looks to me like the cabby is staying in the F. drivers face the whole time.
The guy got back in his car until the cabby said something that made him come back only to add more fuel to the fire even after the first punch.

Seems like a no brainer to me, if you've got someone that upset stay in your car and call the cops (especially if ya just got punched in the face!) don't provoke him further...
This just looks like poking a bull with a stick and then crying when ya get the horns.

Not saying it's right, clearly the F driver's got issues.
But I have noticed A LOT of animosity towards anyone in nice cars or individuals whom have the appearance of $$ (since the financial collapse).

I understand there's much anger however to arbitrarily take it out on anyone with perceived means... well lets just say I'm getting a little tired of it (and the "you think you're better than me attitude) myself.

Don't get me wrong ya still get the wowwww, thumbs-up, little boys with dreams in their eyes and girls which are attracted to success but also many looks of disgust or people cutting you off to the point where you think they will actually hit you... (especially in the Ferrari, the P. less so)

Just go to the Hamptons, you'll be shocked !

Anyone here ever dealt with New York cabbies? worst drivers..even worst attitudes..I'm not saying that I side with the Fcar driver but the cabby driver had the choice of just calling the cops and sitting in his car quietly, but he looked like he decided to mouth back(with never having the intentions of defending himself). Bad judgement call on both parties involved.

Regardless of the situation, if you get into a heated argument in the street with an individual but you don"t have the bite to back up your bark...stfu and let the authorities do their jobs...

 

Anyone have any legit news story's on this? I read a ton of the Youtube comments and most of them hold no water. Even most of the stories on sites like Jalopnik.com etc have no legitimacy to them. According to one post on youtube, who claims to be a friend of the F-car owner...the F-car owner is a Las Vegas businessman and it is NOT a rental. Two Yellow cabs appeared to do one of those scams where one cuts him off, causing him to hit the other car making it look like the F-car was at fault. Obviously it's all hearsay until we can read court records and even then, it's simply a matter of he said she said. However according to a post on youtube, security cameras caught the whole thing and will possibly exonerate the F-car driver being that he felt threatened and having his wife in his car, it's safe to say, he could have felt her safety was also in danger, therefore had to protect her safety as well as his. Who knows, I'd love to see a LEGITIMATE news source on this.

I can't believe he dropped from that little jab. I have (or had...I'm old now) a very good jab, and I never dropped anyone with it. Now the right coming next is a different story.

It seems to me, especially w/ the wailing and lamentation on the cabbies part that it may indeed be a scheme.

And Somalia has been essentially at civil war (and suffers from genocide) for some time and the people that come from there are going to have some issues.

Which version of truth? There are probably at least two.
