Thanks for the post, that was great. Amazing to see how cars have come along. To be honest, I'll take the loser of each race over the winners :-)

Quite frankly, I'm surprised the 308 finished that close to the V6 Camry. A V6 Camry runs a low 14 second quarter at nearly 100mph. Almost matching that performance in a 1984 308 is quite impressive, IMO (especially if it's still running the performance-sapping '80s smog-equipment).

Worse - I had a '78 308 (4 carb) a few years back at the same time I had a 2004 V-6 4Runner automatic. The 4Runner won to 60 mph.
