F430, years to buy?

Hello all, I am considering trading my V-8 Vantage for an F430. I'm looking at 2005-2007 models. There seems to be a fair spread of price between the 3 years. Considering the car has a good service history, is there a big difference or major preference in these years? My initial research doesn't seem to show any major differences or upgrades/updates. Can you guys fill me in further...thanks!

The 2007 and newer come with carbon brakes standard and the manifold defect has been corrected.

Carboceramic brakes are NOT standard on the 2007 F430. They are a
$16,808.00 upgrade.

Correct... CCB's became standard in 08' (just a technicality ) along with a few other things, parking sensors, nav (which is pretty much useless) etc...

The exhaust manifold issue, If memory serves correct, was only an issue in 2005, and 2006.. In my experience I have never personally come into contact with anyone that has had the issue... and from the technicians I have talked to, once the manifold is deemed problematic, they replace it with the exact same part.. I wouldnt worry too much about it...

Other than all that, the options are endless when it comes to Ferrari.. we probably see 15-30 different F430's a year and it really is true that no 2 are the same...

The market in that year range (2005-2007) has really firmed up and depending on options, miles, and color you can probably be prepared to cut a check for $120,000 ish.. plus tax & Lic.... Again, it all depends on what you want.. Spiders are a little more expensive..

From 05-09 the engine and transmission remained virtually unchanged.. they got it right the first time!! So dont worry about old technology or different tranny's or motors.. theyre all the same (unless of course you are contemplating a scuderia)

Good luck with the hunt, and dont forget your 6speed family is here to help!!
