Dear Ferrari owners.

I'm currently selling my 997 GT3 that i've owned for the last 5 years. I have a 2 year old son and enjoy taking short drives together with him. Therefore i retrofitted ISOFIX and airbag deactivation in my GT3 in order to make sure that he can enjoy a safe ride with me.

After the GT3 will be sold I actually thougth I'll buy an F430 scuderia but the local Ferrari dealer couldn't answer my question regarding a child seat.

Does anybody know if it's possible to securely install a child seat in the Scud?

 

Yes. I had a scud and used my car seat from my turbo. I used the seat belt to secure it in the adjusted the seat to make sure the belts were tight

 

how did you manage to switch off the passenger airbag?

 

There is a key switch on passenger side to disable the air bag

 

can't find a Scud with that key switch in Switzerland. that must have been special only for US models, European models don't have them as it seems.

btw: does the manual in the US say something about using a childseat in the scud?

 

If I remember correctly it had a few pages on child safety
