F1 vs 6speed for a 360 or a 430
6-spd all the way.
For me it's all about driver involvement and pleasure. I'm not trying to set the fastest lap times at a track day, I'm out there to have fun. Taking it to an extreme, I'm sure some smart engineers could design a camera and computer system to read the road ahead at the track and operate the clutch, steering and brakes to produce the fastest times possible, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy it...except there's no enjoyment anymore, you might as well be watching a video.
And I don't find the F1 to be smooth at all, especially on the street at low speeds. I drove a late model 575M F1 for several days and was very unimpressed, I'm no pro and could outdrive the F1 in every way, especially smoothness. And then there is the upkeep cost factor if/when you're out of warranty. As long as Ferrari offers 6-spd I'll be buying them.
