F430 radio over engineered?

Guys,

I ordered an F430 spyder for my godfather and had the pleasure of driving it yesterday. What a beauty! I was wondering if any of you guys felt that the radio was shall we say over-engineered? Other then that, the shifting was flawless and worth every penny.

Congrats on the purchase!

I agree the radio is very complicated, but with an exhaust note such as that of the F430, who cares! :)

Did you go with the 6MT or F1?

Verone24 01-11-2006 02:30 PM

f1............it is very loud with the top down...........drove it to grab some boba last night......then i realized......uh what cupholder?

Been in one about 10 times listened to the exhaust no radio needed in any F-Car!

thanks for agreeing with me butch......but like the other guys mentioned......need to forget about that stupid radio and just listen to the music of the engine. Gotta put some funds together and drop it off to Arlings for some work

Thomas......make sure to leave the manetino on low grip.....also, wait till you see the new wheels. After, the wheels are done, the car will most likely go to Arling at Lucent for some smoked lights.......its like prada for car

Did they change the radio? I thought it came with the silver faced Becker that is in the 04 and later 996. Maybe it's the Becker Traffic Pro? Does it have nav integrated into the stereo? DIN sized?

Verone24 01-22-2006 10:03 AM

Robert,

The owner's manual had instructions on how to use the nav however could not figure it out........like the other guys said.....listen to the engine.....F#$@ the radio. I still dont know how the hell they could put nav on that little screen.
