Picked up an 06 F430 F1

Hi guys,

After much thought and vigarous testing of other vehicles, I have come to decide that the F430 is the one for me. I test drove the Gallardo, AM DB9, F430 on the same morning. In the end I thought the F430 was the best of the lot.

The Gallardo was very impressive, I just did not enjoy the seats. They were far too hard and my back was already sore after a 15 minute drive. That is the only complaint I have about the vehicle. Otherwise a thumbs up on every other aspect.

The DB9 was a very nice car, but I wanted something that was a bit faster. It was also more of a GT, not the one for me thank you. The keys also looked very cheap, they are the exact same kind of keys used for a Ford.

In the end, it was the 430 that won my heart. Everything was just perfect! The F1 transmission is much much smoother and faster than the Gallardo's E-gear(btw I drove a 04 G and then a 06 afterwards). I still think that the F430's is better than the 06 G's E-gear. The seats are very comfy and they are the sports seats! The car also has carbon ceramic brakes, which I thought was a very nice extra to have, no more brake dust cleaning for me

Well, enough of my ranting, here are some pictures of it. Got her home a couple hours ago.

Congratulations on your purchase. It seems that most of the U.K. Ferraris I see are Red/cream with red carpets whereas in the U.S. most interiors are the standard "tan."

I think that you made an exceptional decision in purchasing the car you have right now out of the bunch. Your words just describe it well, "perfect!"

Congratulations on your new toy! Enjoy it and stay safe!

How do those sport seats fit? Have you figured out what that color is yet? Scuderia or a new color?

Enjoy that sweet ride!!

Congrats!

BTW, how did you secure test drives of exotics? Ferrari of Bev Hills & Pasadena said that cars on consignment cannot be test driven. Help?
