Advise on F355 GTS
Looking to help someone buy a F355 GTS, should I go for the 6-speed of the F1 transmission. Any other words of caution when looking for a used one. We just picked up an '89 328 GTS and had good luck with that purchase.

I will go with 6-speed, I heard problem with 1st gen. F1 gearbox. Remember to look up did the previous owner done the services, such as oil change and timing belt change. The timing belt services will cost you 3-5K.

+1 for the 6 speed- Ray is correct, the first F1 gearbox is pretty rough...

That is what I was thinking. Does anyone know the production numbers of a 355 gts vs the 348 gts?
