yep, that one was mine....whomever buys it will be very, very happy...it is an awesome car that pulls like a mother. I regret selling it, but the regret is tempered by the thought of the GT3 coming in February. I wasn't going to replace the Ruf with another PCar, but my wife was so disappointed when I sold it, and I missed it so much, that we decided to pick up another Porsche. The GT3 is that car.

That Ruf is loaded, and is a very strong car.

Gang, I took it out for its first run today...it was love. I let it warm up for about 10 minutes, and familiarized myself with it while sitting in it. 26 yr old cars smell a certain way, a nostalgic smell like an old favourite jacket, or vintage leather suitcase that you could never part with. I was surprised how low the steering column sits against my thighs and you almost have to slide in sideways. Once the car was warm and the idle nice and stable, I reversed out, and clicked into first. Clutch felt a little high at first but then firmed up nicely during the trip. First shift into second...brrrrrrrrrp, oops, forgot the tip that the second gear synchro is a little stiff when cold, and did a few first to third shifts. I let the fluids and oil temp come up further during the first 4 or 5 miles and then on an open stretch, let it out ! The sound is glorious, resonating throughout the car, and the pleasure of driving a vintage carbed car is obvious. There was no fuss, no hiccups at lights, no stalls, just a fun thrilling drive. I love the modern Ferraris and the progress over 26 yrs has been amazing in terms of fit/finish/reliability/and driveability...but the extra effort and preparation required for this drive made the experience...awesome.

Love it! Sometimes goin through a little extra work makes it all the sweeter. I went through the same experience with my new setup, it doesn't like cold starts at all, hates 2nd gear for the first 5 minutes but let her warm up and she'll spit, scream, challenge and reinspire your passion. Never heard a 512BB, hopefully I'll see you around.

You redefine success my friend. I'm just now getting my GF to recognize a 996 vs. 997 vs 993.
