Best Motorised Head Unit
Hi Guys,
What is the best single din motorised head unit available. I am looking to add:
The obvious options are:
It needs to be a single Din Unit as I do not believe a double din fits in an F430.
Many Thanks,

Farris-
You have some pretty good choices listed up there. I currently have the Apline IVA-D300. My good buddy has the IVA-D310. The alpines are pretty decent, but they seem kind of blan. The buttons are very square and just do not seem as visually appealing as some of the others. However, they do have the pulse touch which feels like you're actually touching a real button. It's preety neat at first, but you seem to forget about that effect as time goes on.
The AVIC-N3 is more interactive and the overall visuals of the menu screens look more of a next-gen kind of system. You can also bring up more than one media source at once. Such as the back-up cam and navigation at the same time. Sort of a split-screen effect.
The AVIC comes with the navi built in (2 cds of data I think, of course you can buy more). You can type in phone numbers of businesses and it will find it for you and whatnot. If you go with the IVA-D310, you have to buy a navigational unit, which in itself is pretty expensive and you'll have to find room for a new box itself inside of the car on top of the brain of the system.
I know that the AVIC is compatible with voice activation, ipod interface, back-up cam and some other little features such as speedometer gauges (which im sure you'll need
).
I'm not too familiar with the Kenwood systems, but I have never heard anything negative about them. If you were choosing between the Alpine and the Pioneer I would definitely spend a little more money and go with the Pioneer. In my opinion, you will enjoy it more. As mentioned before, it is visually more appealing. I hope I helped you out some. Good luck!
