How much value does a factory stripe add?

The interior is nice.............on a regular 360. I like the stock, race inspired interior of the CS as it came from the factory, much like the gt3rs!

FYI; Leather was an option on the CS.

Why do you think the stripe isn't factory?

I know the stripe isn't factory because the first time I saw the car (about two years ago) it didn't have the stripe. The next owner of the car (who lives up in Washington) had the stripe put on himself; that same owner later did the same thing to the F430 Spider he purchased after he sold the CS.

I know the stripe means a great deal to some owners, but really, I think with this interior combination, it looks better without it.

Here are some shots of the car sans stripe from August 2005:

I agree. The car looks great with that interior and without the stripe. Black or red int on red ext with stripe works. Ricky (crush) has an aftermerket stripe on his titanium car that can be easily removed. I wonder if that is the case with this car or if the owner went trough the trouble of getting it painted.

In a post on F-Chat, the previous owner makes the following comment about the stripe installation on his F430 Spider:

"Install was done at a striping/ tinting shop. Same guy did my CS for me as it did not have a stripe. Install $150"

http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthr...=134341&page=2

Given this information, my guess is it's just a vinyl sticker (non clear-coated) that can be removed.

Now I wonder the time the car has spent in the sun that the paint would be darker under the sticker opposed to the surrounding paint.
