I know the stripe means a great deal to some owners, but really, I think with this interior combination, it looks better without it.

I agree. The car looks great with that interior and without the stripe. Black or red int on red ext with stripe works. Ricky (crush) has an aftermerket stripe on his titanium car that can be easily removed. I wonder if that is the case with this car or if the owner went trough the trouble of getting it painted.

"Install was done at a striping/ tinting shop. Same guy did my CS for me as it did not have a stripe. Install $150"

Given this information, my guess is it's just a vinyl sticker (non clear-coated) that can be removed.
