My fav. show of the year. This year they've added 2 track days @ Sebring and a golf tourney along with the show/rally. I'm registered for all 4 days. Anyone else plan on attending. sucks that they limit the cars so much. I tried to enter my lingenfelter Z06 and saw that corvettes are not allowed. That sucks, I was so going to be there!

I emailed them, so we will see what they have to say. Also looks like the hotel is already booked full!

 

The hotel is very small and is always booked for this event. The ******* Palms is also very close to the event and is a very nice hotel.

I'll also be at the St. Pete Festival of Speed the wknd before with media access. Anyone attending the FOS on the 11th??

I will be at the show as a spectator only since my car is a 2007. They added a corvette category for 1967 or older for some reason. I did register for the rally though!

 

Anyone know about spectators for the track day on Friday? I'm very interested in coming down. I know the website doesn't say anything about going to watch/tickets, just information for drivers.

 

I asked the guys running it the same question. Spectators are welcome @ no charge. You will be required to sign a track waiver like everyone else. If you bring long sleeves and pants you can even catch a ride wide any of the solo approved drivers.

 

Wow thanks a lot for that info! I sent them an email as well. Waiting for a respone but now none is needed. I'm coming down from Gainesville and my father wants to meet there from Sarasota. I'll make sure I bring the proper "attire" in hopes of riding along.

What's required to gain media access for events like this? Just curious.

 

Not too sure how strict they are about access. I had credentials to the show in Miami. I'm a contributing writer/photographer for a Miami based website (from when I lived down there but now we're expanding to cover most of Florida).

 

I am still planning on going. Still cant register for concours since I am not in an exotic. Just won best of class at FOS in St. Pete. Oh Well...will still be doing the Sunday am drive, though.
