winter tires

I dropped to 17's and paid about $900 for mounted tires and rims from tire rack. $900 for just tires is crazy, the origional tires are an accident waiting to happen if it snows.

beautiful garage-just goes to show that it doesn't need to be filled with 100K + cars to look great! You've got a lot of mini-z's, and is that an original tamiya wild ***** i spy?

rc

Good eye! pbfoot I'm working on a nice Mini Z track in the basement, they were actually gifts for the people in the wedding party at my wedding and they have been waiting patiently for the track to race.

I have an old Wild ***** but that is not it, those are the Mini z monster trucks, five of them, that my friends at my wedding raced during dinner for home depot gift cards and bragging rights (something different lots of fun)

On top of the cabinets next to the trophies are a Losi XXX buggy,HPI Peugeot 206 rally HPI, and a TC3 stock touring car all of which won a few point series at local tracks.

That was my pre miata track car way to race which was not all that much cheaper than racing the real thing.

Clean and simple - very nice!

May I ask what kind of minumum garage height do you need to allow for a "stacker" like that? What is the cost to get something like that installed?

thanks
rick

Lift?

Sorry wasn't around for a while, minimum height depends on what you plan on putting up there. I think my height is about 12 feet, it is cutting it close but the miata sits low as a go kart. I can also put my wifes SUV on the lift and change the tires and oil without much problem getting around underneath.

I would say do 14 foot ceiling if you can, 12 minimum. I put my lift together by myself. Heavy as all hell but can be done. No idea what it would cost to have someone install it.
