Anyone have oil seeping up into epoxy floor?

I had a company come out and epoxy my entire garage floor 1.5 years ago. After 9 months I noticed some bubbling in the epoxy floor.

When I called the company to come out to fix it, it appears that my concrete slab has some oil seeping out of it causing small bubbles to appear in the epoxy floor. They redid the epoxy on 1/2 of my garage that had the bubbling, but now another 9 months later, I'm getting some bubbling again.

Has anyone had this happen, or know of any fixes?

I was told that you can use a syringe and poke the bubble and inject clear nail polish and flatten the bubble. I can see doing this with a few bubbles, but not with a bunch.

I would think the bubbles are caused by water with some "chemicals" from the concrete and not oil. They may appear oily due to the mixing with the original epoxy application or combining with concrete additives. How old was the concrete when they put down the epoxy? Have seen these issues especially with applications over new concrete. Wish I new a good fix.

ConcreteRon,
Thank you for the reply... now that I think about it, I believe you are most likely correct. Upon popping some of the bubbles, the liquid did feel very oily, but very well could be water mixed with other oily substances in the concrete.

I believe the concrete slab was the original that was built with the house when new back in 1969.

I have had a few spots come up. What I determined was that when doing the floor, I turned my paint bucket upside down "to get the last drop" of paint out and some of the paint on the sides was not fully mixed with then did not fully cure.
