yeah, it's Race-deck. The tiles are 12 x 12, but they're pieced together in blocks of 4. So they make one big 24 x 24 tile.

also, is it better to use one 18x18 tile or a block of 12x12 tiles to create a square? in other words -- is there advantage to using 18x18 over 12x12? i can only imagine with 18x18 you have less cracks for dirt to get through.

Oh yeah, sorry about that. The baseboard is just regular black rubber baseboard/molding from home depot. works perfect!!

As for the size of the tile......I wouldn't let the dirt or anything like that be an issue. nothing really gets between mine. It's just a matter of aesthetics (for me anyway).

one more question. it seems you left a gap on the floor between the wall and the tile. is that simply for looks or is there something practical behind doing that?

I wasn't crazy about the idea of cutting the tiles and having a tile smaller than the one next to it. If they were all the same color, then you wouldn't see it. But since I did black and white I figured it would look more uniform if I didn't cut anything.

Although it sleeps here at my house and she calls it "our" car, it's technically my GF's car. I'll pass it on
