I really like the look of the new 997.2 tt aerokit, but the cost of the rear decklid/wing is pretty high $4600-5200 depending on the dealer.
I also wanted something that would save weight, so I have been in discussion with a board sponsor, Misha911.com, who builds FRG and CF wings/decklids/bumpers for Porsches (PM for details.)
They will buy the factory wing and build a replica in FRG or Carbon fiber, but for it to be viable we would need at least 3 people to purchase. If we could get 20 people the cost would be very low. (PM me for prices)
PM me for pricing but the savings over the factory decklid/wing would be between 40-70% depending on how many we could buy. Carbon would be a few hundred dollars more.
The decklid would fit both 997.1 or 997.2. This is what the wing I am referring about looks like:

Note that if you want to front aerokit spoiler/lip to match, the OEM part is available for pretty cheap from the Porsche dealers (less than $700).

Actually, I guess I can post the prices in the group buy section.
This is the info I got from Misha:
"3 people: $2500 in fiberglass, $3000 in carbon
5 people: $2000 in fiberglass, $2500 in carbon
10 people: $1700 in fiberglass, $2200 in carbon
20 people. $1400 in fiberglass, $1900 in carbon
It would take about 3 weeks to get the first spoiler completed. After
that we can produce about 2-3 spoiler per week. We would need a 50%
deposit on the group buys once it is all setup."
Please post here if you are interested. I would buy one in CF if we get to 5 people, but obviously would like to get the price down if we can.
