Where to spec 2008 GT3, SoCal

Guys and Gals,

Recently sold my M3 and thinking about ordering a GT3. Couple of quick questions to help point me in the right direction. I apologize ahead of time for the newbie questions.

1. Can anyone recommend a good dealer in SoCal to place an order? Any dealer where I can actually order the car @ MSRP? Contacts?

2. If I were to place an order today, whats the wait looking like?

3. What kind of deposits are you guys putting down on orders? What are the dealers asking for?

Thanks!

Michael

I was able to order at MSRP in June with no wait, in the SE region. Call around, buy it out of state. When cost of transport is only 1% the cost of the car, it's worth your effort.

1. Right now, I think your best bet is to call dealers in the East, South and Mid-West. Forget about So CA. Most dealers want premiums on the remaining 2008 allocations, if there are any more left.
2. If you can find one at MSRP, these may be stock units that the dealers ordered, so they should be coming into the dealers after December. If this is the case, you will have to purchase as optioned.
3. Dep. for me back in July was $5k.

Good luck!

Tom,

Thanks for the advice, when you mean no wait you mean you purchased an pre optioned vehicle or there was no wait for a custom optioned order you made? If the later, when did you take delivery from June?

Everyone else,

Thanks I guess I'll be looking for out of state.
